3D imaging is more and more becoming commonplace – with the the onslaught of 3D movies in cinemas (though they still require the retro-style glasses), recent unveiling of Samsung 3D-enabled TVs and the Nintendo 3DS it seems obvious where the industry is heading. Well, it seems the iPad is already there, allowing for naked-eye 3D displaying using a simple prismatic converter. Next stop – iPad 3D? Full video after the gap!

I find this very interesting with many possibilities :)

What do you think and what do you see comming from this?

useless, and this can be done on any monitor, has nothing to do with iPad

It has everything to do with the iPad. Yes monitors and televisions can display 3d content but the only way it can be viewed is if all the people viewing the content is wearing a pair of 3d glasses which range from 150-300$ each. This method of viewing 3d seems to use some sort of software and hardware to project 3d space into what seems to be a prism type situation where everyone can view the content with their naked eyes.

I admit its a little primitive at the moment but I think it is very interesting and has alot of potential :)
