During the breaks finishing off my current project I'm thinking I want to have a look at making a 3d "game" next. I want to give it a go anyway.

I have been searching around a bit and there are a few engines available.
1) SIO2 - uses blender models & scenes. cost $365 loads of tutorials.
2) google app kit - again uses blender - free but I've read difficult to use and I've found very little information and tutorials.
3) unityd3 - know very little about this one - $400
4) shiva3d - Looks really good. Free to play with and the editor is $169 (req. to ship something)

Before I start spending money, have anyone uses any of these? I'm particularly interested in shiva3d and google app kit.

Unity3D is fun to play with, but it's java script x)
I prefer doing the real objective C thing.
GameSalad is also fun, but not sure if it supports 3D
