I'm looking for a video player that can play videos in "3D" similar to how YouTube can do it.

If you download the video from YouTube and play it in Quicktime, you'll get a video with the left and right views playing side by side.

YouTube is able to translate those into various 3D viewing options:

Like for use with red/blue glasses.

Is there a player for the Mac that can do something similar?

(Or I suppose something for windows that could be used in Parallels)

HAve you tried it? Is it any good?
No, I really haven't been impressed by 3D technology so far. I've seen some 3D movies such as Avatar at IMAX and wasn't impressed at all. I greatly prefer 2D movies. Maybe it's my old eyes, but it seems harder to watch... more eye strain.

Nod. It's a gimmick but can be fun for some stuff. (Thor in 3D Imax was really cool, but not necessary for it).

I'll report how it works.

Takes a bit of flipping around the options, but it works right on. Need to figure out which of my glasses works best with it, but fun for what it is!
