I purchased a 3g on craigslist. without really much info into it, feel stupid now, really regret it. anyways

problem is phone is stuck in recovery, guy told me, figured okay ive played with iphones enough probably just put it into DFU and restore it. WRONG its not working for me. everytime every firmware i get itunes error 6. so what im asking is how can i stop that. ;( or is the iphone just a piece of garbarge and should just sell it back on cl

also a tech guy said it could be a bad battery? is that possible?

This is one of the standard USB communication errors.

See this:

You may need to change USB cables, try a different USB port off the motherboard, try a different computer, etc. However, your dock connector could be faulty and then you're SOL unless you get it repaired (and hopefully it doesn't have water damage....check the indicator in the dock).
