    Hi,

I got my new 3G iPhone today.
Everything works perfectly except that I am unable to connect to my home WiFi network.

In my network I have the main router, then a wireless hub (access point). Theres a wired connection going to a PC from the hub as well as wireless to a laptop. Both of these have no trouble connecting to the internet.

The router is a 4 port Belkin.
The hub is a BT Voyager 1500 Wireless.

On the iPhone in Settings > WiFi I am seeing two networks. One of which is called BTHUB (this one is about a foot away from my desk) and another called BTHomeHub-C193 which must be in someone elses house nearby.

By clicking on the little blue icon of either of these the ID ADDRESS, SUBNET MASK, ROUTER, DNS, SEARCH DOMAINS and CLIENT ID fields are all empty.

When I try to connect to to either of these it asks me for a password. From BTHUB (my network) I type in my wep key (exactly the same one as I use with laptop) and I get the message "Unable to join the network "BTHUB".

I have reset the network connections from the about section of the settings. I have also disconnected, restarted and re-setup my router and the BT Hub many times and I get the same result.

If anyone has any advice on what I could try let me know.
    Thanks

I use to have the same problem - could not connect to home network
I changed my linksys router from wep protected to WPA - this did the trick.

First i would turn off security on your router and see if your iphone connects, then change the router settings to wpa

    Hope this helps

I did think of trying that.. But then along comes problem number two.
In order to do that I need to access my BT hubs settings page which according to the manual it came with should be accessible in a browser via a specific IP address. I have tried this IP address on my laptop and PC and neither of them is finding it.

I also pinged it and got no response.
Unfortunately theres no hard reset pin hole on the BT hub so I can't reset it to factory settings. If there is another way of doing this or finding out how to get into my Hub settings that would be great.

    Thanks

connect your pc or laptop to the wireless router with the lan cable, disable the wireless on your pc or laptop for now

    then type the ip address

    this should work

    Nope,
    Still can't access it.

I don't think my hub is actually a voyager 1500 - I just done some searching online and they look nothing alike. I haven't got a clue what hub I've got - its definitely BT though. It could just be a hub and not a full blown router.

Heres my ipconfig /all result done from my PC (which is connected via Ethernet into BT Hub which is connected via Ethernet to Belkin router).

If that's any help or perhaps indication of how I can change my wireless security settings. I have tried accessing all of the IP's above and none of them lead to the BT Hub settings.

http://192.168.2.1 however leads to the Belkin router settings but of course I cannot change wireless from there.

    Thanks
