I am going for the Invisible Shield by ZAGG and a foof as my "case," as it is sleeve. I really do not traditional cases; they are normally too bulky.

I like the Griffin reflect. I have an iPod Touch 32gb and iPhone both have a Griffin Reflect case. I hope Griffin will make one for the 3G iPhone.

After experimenting with several pouch/belt clip type cases last year (I like to keep my iPhone naked during use, but well protected on my belt), I finally settled on the Marware CEO Sleeve. I really don't care for the type of belt clip that comes with the CEO Sleeve but, thankfully, Marware uses the Multidapt clip system and I also purchased the Spring Clip.

That combo has proven perfect for my needs so I was very pleased to learn Marware is already shipping a new 3G Version of their CEO Sleeve! I placed my order last week! :)

I must be old school.

I prefer a leather case.

If you like leather I would check out Vaja Cases ( www.vajacases.com ) I have purchased these cases for several of my cell phones and they are awesome! They have not come out with cases for the iPhone 3G but I know I will be getting one for mine. The drawback...each one is handmade and they take 30-days to get them, but they are definately worth the wait. You can customize each case with colors, engravings, beltclip options etc.

I have tried so many iPhone cases and have ended up taking them all off -- I just like it nekkid.

This time around, I may just put an invisible shield on and call it good. Who knows though; if the right case comes along then I may snag one.

Thanks for the recommendation, ordered the CEO sleeve for the 3G iPhone on Wednesday and it arrived in the mail today. I really like the look and the quality, and it came with the spring clip. Of course I can't comment on the fit with the iPhone yet, but think that it will work great for me. Plan to use this case along with the Invisible Shield.

I love the iskin cases. And for now, they have none posted for the 3G, so I will wait. I know they are gonna have an awesome case for the phones.

they have announced a truly stunning iPhone case, the iSkin Fuze
they will be making it for the 3g iPhone as well as the old iPhone

I will most likley buy one of these, as long as they don't add too much bulk
I have owned both of iSkins video iPod cases, and loved both of them

but with my iPhone I want a case that adds little or no bulk
that's why I have considered the carbon fiber case if not for the ridiculous price

I think I'm going to order the Sena Ultraslim in pink (looks like it's ready to ship now, as opposed to pre-order on some of the other 3G models Sena has on their site), and get a Vaja case once I see what they're offering. I think the Vaja cases are gorgeous, but it takes forever to get one and I don't want my phone banging around in my purse all that time.

I had pre-ordered an IS, but I think I'll give that to my brother or sell it on eBay.

I really do hope SwitchEasy really does bring out a 3G Iphone Biscuit
I have a 3G nano black biscuit, it fell off a 2 story building and just had a chip.
It looks really nice. (www.switcheasy.com)
VERY strong cases, recommend them for all 2G iPhone owners and Nano owners :) :apple:

I also contemplated on buying the switch easy case but with the new 3G iPhone, I dont want to cover it up with anything when I'm using it.

I just want it protected in a case on my belt when I'm not using it.

What do you mean you dont want to cover it up with anything when you're using it?

I should have explained it little better.

With this version of the iPhone, I dont want to put any outer casing on the phone. I want to use it naked. The only time I want it in the case is when it goes on my belt.

Thats all :)

anybody used best skins ever? it seems like they're more or less the same as the invisishield, (minus free replacement, of course) just cheaper.
