Apple doesnt write the summaries for those pages, its possible that the developer is anticipating the release of the 3G iPhone.

    Nice find though!

Isn't this just like a reference movie for quicktime? Works out what streaming rate of video, or size video you can easily get via your connection? Standard stuff...

They must have some idea of how fast it is and that it exists.

The data rates of 3G has been known for some time ;)
That it exists - we've known that for a while too!

The OP makes a good point. One would think Apple would not allow something through which is incorrect. The reference to "2nd generation" and
"3G" iphones is glaring. These APPs are checked and double checked to ensure copyright, patent and any other potential liability issues.

    i'm just sayin...

Man, that's exactly what I was saying! It's amazing that got through! I was surprised! Apple doesn't make any type of statement on 3G and you would figure they would prevent excessive rumors on this topic, i bet it will be gone soon - or edited. I understand it was mentioned by a 3-rd party developer, but they look it over before it's put on the site, or at least you would think that's what they do...

Apple and partners have made several statements on 3G. They're fanning the rumor flames. It's not exactly rocket science, nor new news
