Hey i just wanted to let everyone know that the other day i had to call Apple about my iPhone e-mail messing up. As we were sitting there waiting for something... i just started talking about the rumors that were on the web about how 3G was going to be put in a whole new phone. I told her that was fine and all, but i thik previous iPhone users should get it for free, i mean most of us are still in the 2 year contract with AT T and we are also loyal customers, not to much to ask is what i said. she mentioned that the June update would include 3G capablities and that we would not have to purchase a new phone. She continued to tell me that she had waited to find out about 3G on the iPhone before she switched over from her other provider because she really liked 3G. When i talked to AT T about my moms phone a few days later, the person also reassured me that it would be in the June update, that he had heard it from Apple Represativites himself.
IDK truth or not...but definitly something to hope for!!!

I'd like to see an "Automatic" setting, where it turns on 3G only for selected apps, and turns it off when the app is closed. 3G is really only needed for the App Store and for Safari (at least out of the default app set).
Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A102 Safari/419.3)
I agree on the automatic setting. Three options would allow the casual user the flexibility of setting it and forgetting it while also giving others the option of turning it off to really preserve battery life.
You must be new.In iPhone theres no firmware, there full working OS based on Darwin core, named iPhone OS.
You must be new.
Without firmware, the OS can't load.
As for 3G being automatically enabled or disabled, it would be a nice option, but I would like to be able to override it.
Think On/Off/Auto
