Hey, so I need to replace the LCD screen inside my 3GS and the 3G LCDs are significantly cheaper than the 3GS replacement LCDs. The connectors look identical to me. Could I get away with replacing my 3GSs screen with a 3G screen? Or would it simply not work?

Thanks

Anyone? It's just that the 3GS LCDs are twice as much money, but they look exactly the same!

There is a reason why it is more expensive, I think those replacement already have the Finger print coating on it, and also a tech told me once that the power scheme for the 3GS screen was different. Even when the conector is the same, the screens are different.

Now... Do not quote me or take this a fact, this was just "something some one told me"

It wont work, theres a reason they sell them specific for each iphone model.
If that was the case they would all use the cheaper 3G screen instead to replace 3GS screens.
