Yes it is true i went on virgin mobiles website and they made a product were u can use 3g on the ipod touch ... It goes at bottom of the ipod just go to there website (usa) thanks for reading this

That's true, but you have to use the ZTE Peel before you can use the ipod on 3g 😉

Does this device work on the fourth generation? I think it should but in the description it says iTouch 2g and 3g. It should come with a built in battery so it doesnt drain the battery too much, verizon has a better plan dor 20 bucks

It won't work with a 4G because the shape is different. You'd need a Peel specifically designed for the 4G.

I doubt Apple will ever release a iPod touch with 3G capabilities.

99% certain 5g iPod touch will not have 3G , similar to what others have said 3G on ipod touch is too similar to the iPhone.
