Can I have an interchangeable lens that will also fit on my Nikon hook up to my 8MP iPhone camera? I mean, if I have that many MP's, I am certainly going to want to use a 55-200 zoom right?

I just don't understand all the hype about it...
That's because you're looking at it from the perspective of a spec sheet, not the total experience.

If all it took for the public to love a phone was having the best hardware, then the N95 would have won awhile ago. Apparently there's more to it than that... :D

There's something about the overall experience of the iPhone that hypes a lot of people up. And if you're only looking at it from the specs point of view, you'll never understand that. :?

I hope for the next iPhone they can partner up with Canon cause I'd really rather not carry my dSLR to photoshoots!

S is for SPEED Also Search

"loling" at this btw.

Thanks... I did search using mroogle first but found nothing. I think it's a bit pointless... they should've put an 8MP camera with a camera on the front for video calling... and they should've also made it a lot thinner.

Keep dreaming. Read up on WHY it is the way it is. Take one apart and see if you can shave off anything and maintain a level of functionality beyond reason as per the one you described.

I've tried this other places and it doesn't work.

Huh:eek:

We need to compare Cell Phones with Cell Phones the N95 is a little different when compared to the iPhone

No one on the market will produce an 8MP camera on a Cell Phone, the camera portion cost alone would cost more then the phone. The iPhone was not meant for a professional photographer to take with him on a wedding and take photos, so there is a device for each specific area, Cameras on cell phones are getting better but they are meant for a quick photo and not many of them, most ppl will buy advanced cameras for those photos.

Actually, quite a few manufacturers produce 8MP camera phones - the Samsung Omnia HD, Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman, Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber-Shot to name just 3

They probably still take useless pictures compared to a "real" camera but the market is definitely moving towards higher resolutions on cell phones

I don't understand what the huge fuss is about the amount of MP? Do you want to blow up a picture you took from your phone big enough to fit on the wall? If so, then yes, a 8mp camera would be nice. If you're looking for regular size photos then it doesn't really matter how many MP your camera has, it has to do with the quality of the lens, which nobody seems to talk about. I could care less how big my picture is, I want it to look nice. You can take your crappy gigantic pictures and I'll be happy with my good quality regular size pictures.

The same reason people continue to get worked up over GHz. People equate bigger with better without realizing there are other mitigating factors that impact performance, like fast memory, drives and FSB but instead they focus on how fast the CPU is. Likewise with cameras, either stand-alone cameras or cameras in phones.
