Luckily my city in CA has 3G, just up to it's city limits. Though, it's about an hours driving distance in all directions before reaching any more 3G.

I live in Winston-Salem. Get service there and all the way to Raleigh where I go to school.

Why start a thread when you can look up predicted 3G cover?

Called AT&T a little bit ago asking if my town will get 3G anytime soon I was told within the year so I'm happy with that as long as I get it eventually.

I live in Raleigh NC. We get 3G, but coverage overall isn't as good as Sprint. Eastern NC has big areas with no coverage of any sort. And Virginia looks really spartan for any AT&T coverage.

No 3g in Omaha yet. We should be getting it this fall though. Despite this, I will be getting my first iPhone tomorrow!

Well, around me (UK) I get 3g coverage around me and major cities and some coverage over the main motorways (highways), so I'm happy with O2's coverage.

Yep, everywhere around me has 3G. Considering I live 5 minutes away from Apple HQ in Cupertino, it better have 3G...
