3G signal vs. iPhone

I've noticed my iPad seems to get a stronger 3G signal than my iPhone 3GS. Anyone else? Maybe a better antenna and chip?

Yes, I made a post on this yesterday...areas where my iPhone has no signal or 1 bar, the iPad has 4-5 bars. I always thought AT&T service sucked but apparently it's the iPhone not AT&T.

Both my iPad and iPhone get excellent 3G connection.
