3G silent button needs unsticking

I glued my silent button as it fell off but it is a bit dodgy so I need to take it off again. Any ideas?
My mate also wants to know what kind of glue apple use to stick the silent switch as he thinks they use p.v.a

I thought the buttons were pressure sprung from the PC board? I never took mine apart but, I couldn't imagine gluing the button on it.

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain it well enough. I mean the chrome tip on the outside of the switch
