3G through software update?

Is there a 3G network software update for iPhone or you will have to buy a new 2nd gen. iPhone? That would suck. 🙁
 
There's a zillion threads about this very topic. You're gonna have to buy the 2nd gen iPhone (assuming it supports 3G). Deal with it.
