I didn’t know if it was possible that using 3g unrestrictor would mask or hide high data numbers if it were activated on all apps? Maybe if it did, it could be a work around the throttling threats of carriers?
 
No, those apps don't hide your data usage from your carrier...you're still downloading from their network. They just override the software in your phone to get around apps that have reduced functionality in 3G vs Wifi. App store 20mb limit, FaceTime are two popular examples.
 
Thats what I figured. I hate seeing these threats and threads about carriers slowing down internet usuage that we pay for. Very frustrating.
