For example lets say I tether my iPhone to my iPad and use a app over 3G/4G on my iPad that uses the 3G/4G will 3G Unrestrictor work? Of course I will only be able to install 3G Unrestrictor on my iPhone at least I believe. I haven't bought it yet. Whenever I go to my iPad to buy it it says not supported of course because it is only a Wifi iPad.

3GUnrestrictor is not some magical tweak that creates cellular service where none exists.

ALL it does is fool stock Apple apps (and a few others) into thinking they are using WiFi when they are not - for purposes of allowing you to do certain things, such as get around the max download limit of the App store over cellular.

You can install it on your iPhone but it will have no effect on the apps that need cellular but it's not going to turn your WiFi iPad into an LTE iPad.

Here is an example of what 3GUnrestrictor does: I was stuck for a couple of hours of having to wait. I wanted to download Facebook to my iPhone6S yet couldn't as the place I was waiting didn't have WIFI and Facebook can't be loaded on LTE as it is too big for a download. I instead downloaded 3GUnrestrictor and was then able to download Facebook.

That's about it. Outside of that, I don't' know if 3GUnrestrictor has any magical powers.

Is Facebook really too big for a cellular/mobile data download?

It's over 100GB's or whatever... Always kicks in and tells me I need to wait for WIFI. . .
The app size is listed as over 100 MB but the compressed install download has been less than that so that it could be downloaded over cellular/mobile data. Didn't think they pushed passed that barrier. I actually just tried downloading and installing it again without WiFi and it worked without any warnings or anything like that.

3gunrestrictor by default adds the app store to the list of apps that will think you are on wifi. So, any app that you download from the app store shouldn't have any problems being downloaded via cellular connection despite the size limit restrictions.

You can add apps/games that require wifi as well.

That being said, I deleted Facebook, removed it from the 3gunrestrictor list, and was able to download Facebook, 146MB size, using cellular. That means the download size isn't over the 100MB size limit.
