I have verizon and always use my browser. what is the speed of 3G compared to EVDO?

EVDO is a 3G protocol. But we assume you mean ATT's 3G version, which is now HSDPA/UMTS.

Many people report around 600-800 kbps download over ATT, with bursts to over 1Mbps.
