3gs 4.0 Beta Jailbreak?

Well I was thinking. I have the newboot rom iPhone 3gs and was thinking if there's a way I can get 4.0 beta and jailbreak it?

Unless you are a developer, the only way I know to get the 4.0 beta would be by pirating, which isn't allowed in these forums. Just jb 3.1.3.

You can jailbreak just fine using Spirit. You just can't unlock.

The only jailbreak for the 4.0 beta is Redsn0w 0.9.5 which only works on 3G, not 3GS.

man just go to www.spiritjb.com and download the spirit software. it takes less than 20 seconds to JB your iPhone 3Gs with 3.1.3.

OP wants to jb 4.0 because they assumed 3.1.3 on a 3GS couldn't be jailbroken.

So bottom line is he CANNOT JB a 3GS on any 4.0 beta.
Only if its downgraded to 3.1.3 he can JB with spirit.

That's how the thread started, but it did take a turn:

I read that as the OP only wanted to jb 4.0 because he/she thought they couldn't jb 3.1.3 with the new bootrom, which is an incorrect assumption.
