3GS/4.1/unlock

Hi I already have an unjailbroken iPhone 4. My neighbor has a 3GS with 4.1 wants to sell it. He wants to have it so it can be unlocked.

What's the best jb to get this 3GS unlocked?

if he already has it updated to fw 4.1, then he is SOL since the BB in 4.1 right now can't be unlocked, will have to wait until a new unlock for that BB comes out and tell your neighbor to not updated it through iTunes for 4.2 so it doesn't happen again.

I see some web sites advertising of being able to unlock iPhone 4 on 4.1. Are they all scams then?

All scams. Don't ever pay money for an iPhone unlock (unless it to the iPhone's cell carrier) or for a jailbreak.

Yes, they will take your money and will make you wait a month or 2 or untill The Dev Team releases a new unlock.
