Hello,

I have seen that the 3GS has a 802.11 N chip. Does anyone think or know if iOS 4 will enable that? Also, is it true that it will only be 2.4 Ghz?

Thanks,

Gord

The GM release candidate doesn't activate this alleged chip. So I think it's safe to say a big no

Dont think the 3GS has an 802.11n chip. It's 802.11a/b/g.

and yes. The new iPhone's 802.11n is 2.4 GHz only.

TBH, I find it hard to believe the processor and filesystem are fast enough to handle the higher throughput anyway.

FYI the 3GS the wireless chip DOES have 802.11b/g/n, full bluetooth, FM reciever, and FM transmitter - it was just that apple never 'turned it on' so to speak
