Sometimes companies block external network devices from connecting to Exchange. There's a protocol that Outlook supports called RPC that enables Outlook without VPN to access a secured Exchange server. Unfortunately, no other program besides Outlook supports it. Might want to check with them that they authorize mobile/external access.

As an alternate, try entering your company's web mail address as the server instead of the actual Exchange server that you would enter in Outlook. This worked for my company.

Authorisation from your work IT dept.

You need to speak to them to determine:

a) if they allow access to internal email from iPhones and/or other mobile devices.
b) if you have the necessary permissions to access these services.

Cheers,

RTP.
