I'm looking for a camera app for the 3GS that allows you to remap the shutter button to the volume buttons or by tapping anywhere on the screen. Does such an app exist? Snapture doesn't work for the 3GS.

Apple should make that a button. Maybe double taping the home button.

If you take a screen shot then you have a pic of your screen, not whatever's in front of your camera lens.

if your camera app is open and you print screen its kinda like taking a picture because whatever is "in front of your camera" is on your screen so "if you take a screen shot then you have a pic of your screen" and whats on the screen is "whatever's in front of your camera" so its kinda like taking a picture.

Screenshots are not an option. They are very low resolution compared to actually capturing the picture via the shutter button. Plus you have to crop off the UI buttons and items.

but are there any apps that use one of the hardware buttons, preferably the volume rocker, to take a picture? I know that the jailbreak app Snapture does this but its like 12.00 bucks or something and isn't appealing enough to justify that price. So does anyone know of any free or cheaper alternatives? It can be an appstore app or a cydia app but I can't make any progress looking for this. any help would be appreciated!
