Has anyone managed to get any hands on with the 3GS as of yet?

I'm surprised ive not seen anything on engadget/MR with regards quality of the cam + speed compared to the original.

Do the apple stores have them on display or do they "have to wait" also. :)

I'm gonna go on a limb and say negative on that, mainly because he said it was an HD video from the iPhone 3G S, when the 3G S can only do VGA video.

Besides, do you think Apple let him out of the convention center with a unit? I highly doubt it.

Gizmodo seemed to pull it off. Their tests were all done outdoors.

I stand corrected! However their article and videos were pulled, hmm... (i have the cache in my Google Reader tho)

But it's still not HD video, like the YouTube video implies.

EDIT: The YouTube video also says he shot it in Los Angeles, CA which is a long way away from the WWDC.

There is no way those pictures were taken with any fixed lens camera such as the iPhone. The bokeh is that of a proper lens. Even my Panasonic LX3, which is one of the best compact cams on the market, can't display bokeh like that.

This seems more likely. Until I see some actual photo examples with bokeh like that, I remain skeptical. Then again, the tests they showed during the keynote had some rather nice macro-focusing going on, so we'll see.

Reviews etc have been embargoed until release by Apple, hence Gizmodo being forced to pull theirs down.

People already have review units as of yesterday as well.

You should really put a "?" at the end of the title. I was looking forward to reading a hands-on.

Gizmodo had a cool one until it got yanked with no further mention.
