My 3GS screen has a bit of a crack in it... am I able to get it repaired from Apple? Is it worth spending the money to get it fixed?

Will this affect the resale value of the iPhone much?

This is why I want an iPod touch, it's just not the same having a crack in my 3GS even though it works fine.. :(

I don't know about your other questions but the answer to this one seems obvious. Would you buy an iPhone w/ a cracked screen for the same price as one without?

Don't know, but it's still an Apple product :)

It's less than 200, but I don't remember the exact amount. They were always able to replace the 3GS screen in the store. You may want to check with an Apple store first.

I don't know if this is standard procedure or not, but a friend of mine took hers to an Apple store and they swapped out the whole front assembly for $100. Usually I think they make you pay $199 for an OOW replacement.

Yes, it will affect your resale value. I buy, sell and repair iPhones locally and I wouldn't pay a dime over $80 for a cracked screen 3Gs (unless it was 32GB).

Your best bet is to order a new front assembly from eBay and do the swap yourself. You can get decent ones for ~$50.
