So this past Tuesday I upgraded my friends 3Gs to 4.3 and since then she told me the phone got slower, and apparently sat night the phone went white and would not restart. I took a look at it and tried a hard reset(home+power) and the phone just restarts and goes back to the apple logo.
Then I tried restoring it but for whatever reason it made a back up of nothing(memory bar on iTunes showed no apps no music nothing!) and when it was going to finish restoring I got an error(no error message) . So I put it into dfu mode and restored it that way and was able to "restore it" to the point where it asks for a new iPhone name and what to sync it too(contacts, email etc).
Did that and synched it but then iPhone stays stuck on apple logo and beachball(pinwheel status bar)!

Tried this a good 2-3 times and it stays stuck there no matter what!
    Any help?

It is a refurbished 3GS(got it in nov 2009) and had no problems until now!
