3gs unlock upgrade to iOS 6???

So my girlfriend has a jailbroken unlocked 3Gs. The unlock that kills GPS (iPad baseband I think) so now that iOS 6 is out and we can get the factory unlock from AT&T. I wanted to know if the upgrade will work if we get the factory unlock?

I was always scarred before because of the hacked baseband without any upgraded one out (since no way to downgrade).

Any help would be appreciated!

once the phone is factory unlocked. it is unlocked forever. so upgrade away 😉

make sure you undo the ipad baseband first.

There is a way to downgrade from iPad baseband.. Its been out since July 4th..
