Sorry if this is a stupid question, but why do people always say "the iphone 5 will probably be a 3gs upgrade" meaning it wont add a lot of features. But the thing is the 3g had a lot less new features then the 3gs:

3g:
GPS
New design
Tri-band support

3gs:
New 3mp camera with tap to focus
Can record video
faster processor (up to 2x as fast as 3g)
256mb ram (double 3g)
Camera
voice control
HSDPA support

I didnt count the price drop on the 3g because they both cost the same.

They're just talking about the way the phone looks probably.
To me the jump from the 3G to the 3GS was considerable.
Even though some thought its the same thing since they look alike.

I think it is mainly because there isn't too much you can realistically add to the iPhone 4. 😛 Make it faster, I guess. Never once has my iPhone 4 slowed down under iOS, though, so I'm not sure if that is all that necessary.

Bigger screen, maybe? I don't know.
