3GS , when texting emits a high pitch frequency!

It is driving me MAD! intermittently when I txt or receive a txt the 3GS emits a very high frequency tone that is annoying as hell. Anyone else experiencing this???

I just noticed this the other day!

I couldn't figure out what it was, then I realized it was my iPhone, its brutal.

Anyone know of a fix?

It also does it when you plug it into a wall to charge and when you take a picture. I had mine replaced, the new one does it too.

Most of them,if not all, probably make the noise. Some people just can't hear that frequency.

Try restoring your phone to factory settings

in my opinion the speaker is set slightly louder on the 3GS than the 3G (do a comparison) and i think this is causing this pretty widely known issue, i bet 3.1 will fix it when its out, which should be pretty soon from the betas.

Times like these I find myself happy that I keep my phone on vibrate almost all of the time. 🙂
