3GS wont vibrate

Hi there,

My iPhone 3GS has stopped vibrating. all that happens is it *sometimes* whirrs/clicks instead of vibrating.

I have checked that vibrate is enabled in the settings.

I have restored factory settings and updated the OS to 5.1.

I have even replaced the vibration motor with a brand new one, but i'm still getting the same problem.

Any ideas?
