Agree, this is quite a boost in overall performance, especially with 3rd party apps. Some that I haven't given up on because they wouldn't load at all, are now loading.
I don't remember this in 2.01 and earlier:
The Photo Album face, when viewed in the face selector screen, now has a stack of photos layered "behind" the top photo. It helps distinguish it from the single-pic Photo face.
I can't say this didn't exist before, though. Maybe I'm doing the usual "look closely for anything I forgot about and assume that it's part of the update" thing.

i'm still on 2.01, this isn't new in 2.1
Mine is much faster as well with the exception of the Hue app. It always takes forever. Horrible.
My 3rd party apps still will not load. Last time many of them loaded was when the watch was released. Subsequent updates have done nothing for me. Starting to get extremely disappointed.
