Evening all!

I've got the MB and a 3rd party optical USB mouse (and old "microsoft intelli-eye" to be precise). Sometimes it just "slows down" and though all the movements work they just dont move the pointer nearly as far. To fix this all I need to do is unplug the mouse and plug it straight back in again. Sometimes it happens three times in a row sometimes it's fine for a week.

Has anyone seen this before? why does it do this?

On another note, does anyone know how to programme specific keys? I wish to be able to write to my friends in France (in french) without going to the charachter palette. How do I make, for example ctrl+c into a ç ??

cheers guys.

Option-c will produce ç, Option-e + e will produce é, Option-u + u will produce ü, Option-n +n will produce ñ, Option-i + i will produce î. Other combinations are allowed. There is no need to re-programme the keyboard.

If you look at the keyboard viewer, merely press modifier keys like Option to see the changes.
