Has anyone who's installed 4.1 checked to see if AVRCP is functional? I updated my iP4 to 4.1 in hopes that it would finally work with either my car ('10 VW) or my Jabra Halo but alas no love. I can stream audio as usual but the forward/back and track info features are still nonfunctional. Anyone else have any luck?

I haven't downloaded 4.1 yet but this is something I was looking forward to, too. I it will suck if it still does not work.

Do you know if your VW works properly with AVRCP on other devices? I too am really hoping this works (on my infiniti.)

Any other test results on 4.1GM?

Forward/Back works on Moto S9s. Now my phone is complete, rudimentary multitask, A2DP & AVRCP, Sling over 3G, USB Synch of PDF, XLS, PPT, DOC, Comics, MMS, decent camera, video recording. It's only been 4 tries and 3 years. Yah?

Alright, it must be me then. I'll try the car with another device, the bluetooth controls are there but they're grayed out so I figured that the problem was on the iPhone's end. Time to do a little more research...

time for me to pick out a bluetooth kit for my motorcycle helmet. been waiting a long time for this. thanks apple.

more like FINALLY apple, my old Samsung BJ '06 could do AVRCP and having to download a jb app to get something that should have been there from the start. There was no excuses just lazinesss, but I'm finally happy that I can run a vanilla BT experience w/ AVRCP on my iPhone!

I know what you mean. I was so psyched about A2DP in iOS 3.0. I was crushed when I used it and saw how nerfed it was. Apple still has a ways to go in the bluetooth department. But it just got a whole lot better.

I had to re-pair my iPhone 4 with my '09 TL and then reboot my phone to get the AVRCP to work with todays GM...the beta's worked sporadically at best im hoping the GM stays consistant

iOS is most probably not at fault when it comes to your 2010 VW. Mine's a 2010 GTI, and its Bluetooth module (9w2) is so limited, it doesn't even let you play/pause the music streamed via Bluetooth. It means the VW Bluetooth module supports even less AVRCP features than iOS 4 does.

I've been using 4.1 Beta since July. The forward/back works just fine with my Bluetooth headphone. I don't see how it's gone with 4.1 GM.

I can skip tracks on my Motorola S9-HD headphones now! SOOOOOO HAPPY! Love my iPhone 4 even more now :D:D:D

WOAH WOAH WOAH

You're telling me 4.1 has full A2DP support? This is what I've been looking for, for ages!
