Any Track Info displayed on a Car's LCD?

Has anyone tried 4.1GM in a car (or with any device) which itself is capable of displaying Track Info from bluetooth Audio on its own LCD display?

Has anyone seen this work with the iphone?

Don't know if anyone cares, but the Sony DR-BT21G headphones are now fully supported.
I personally care. Every success report improves the odds that we'll all be happy.

Thanks

I had to re-pair my iPhone 4 with my '09 TL and then reboot my phone to get the AVRCP to work with todays GM...the beta's worked sporadically at best im hoping the GM stays consistant

Does your TL display the iphone's track info, when playing BT Audio?

Just got ios4.1 and tried it with my AVIC-D3 stereo in my car. I can now skip forward and backward...but still no music info.

still would like to know if when you turn your car off and get back in will the iP4 sync right back to your car stero or do you have to go through the whole sync proccess everytime you get back in your car like i currently have to do with my ip4 to get the BT audio to work, its rather annoying!!

i never had this problem with my 3g everytime i switched to BT audio on my stero it would immediatly sync to my phone and start playing over my radio since ios4 came out i have to resync both my 3g or ip4 to get it to play music over the stero.

jutte64, I have never had this issue. I simply registered my iphone to my car and it always connects automatically. I've had this working since the first gen iphone all the way up to now (iphone 4 ios4.1)

I never had a problem with re syncing everytime? I always have slacker open, as soon as I get in my truck it plays the music right where it ended.

i have a pioneer head unit in my truck, the phone part of the BT syncs just fine everytime never had a problem there but as soon as i flip over to BT Audio to play music over my head unit it fails to connect so i have to go in remove it from my phone and resync it to my radio then it works fine untill i turn my truck off and get back in it again the phone part will sync right up but in order to listen to my music i have to go throught the whole sync process again... its not that is a hard thing to do its just really annoying to have to do it every time you get in and wanna listen to something other then the radio lol. not being able to just do it on the fly anymore sucks. and yes i have put in a ticket to apple about it but never heard anything back, and i have seen a few other post where people are haveing the same problems so it is out there. thanks for those that have taken the time to respond so far even though you are the lucky ones with out the problem lol!

CX9 and AVRCP

Updated iphone4 to 4.1 ... rebooted and repaired with 2010 CX9 and while it still plays bluetooth audio, no track display or control. So does Mazda need to update something now?

So still no track info? What about the other functions?

Will the volume buttons be controlling iPhone volume(instead of a separate level on its own) like they did on other phones?

Were you able to access call records and contacts properly on your headset LCD screen? If so, were you able to make a call from the contact list with your headset buttons?

Edit: nvm, finally got home and update to 4.1, none of the above features is available.

Has anyone tried this with a Jabra Cruiser bluetooth car kit ?

Thanks

I have a Jabra Cruiser. Have not tried it yet with 4.1. I don't like the Jabra as much as my Contour that was stolen. People can't hear me as well.

The problem I have with the Cruiser is that if I use my wife's car, I can play music from my phone through the Cruiser FM into the car radio and it works great. If I use my car which has an aux jack, then I plug my iPhone into the car for music and pair it with the Cruiser for calls. Unlike my Contour, when a call comes in and I answer it on the Cruiser, it doesn't resume the music after at all. And many times when I try to play music it plays through the Cruiser speaker and I have to kit the little BT logo on my phone next to the volume slider and choose headphones from the pop up. I don't know if 4.1 and AVRCP fixes any of these issues and I will be able to skip tracks from the Cruiser AND solve my return to music and which output issues, but we'll see. At this point I blame the Jabra.

WOW!!! 4.1 is really great. Now, I can use the Fast Foward and Rewind functions from my Back Beat.

Thanks Apple.

Does your TL display the iphone's track info, when playing BT Audio?

Nope, Just "Bluetooth Audio" on the little screen, and The standard Bluetooth audio menu on the nav screen. No track info whatsoever...AVRCP is still hit and miss for me

This feature add was huge to me. Makes my commute easier since I can control my music through my steering wheel (I like to have my entire library on shuffle and sometimes I like to skip a song). Since I connect my iphone 4 to my stereo using bluetooth for handsfree calls and music, this is great.

Has anyone who's installed 4.1 checked to see if AVRCP is functional? I updated my iP4 to 4.1 in hopes that it would finally work with either my car ('10 VW) or my Jabra Halo but alas no love. I can stream audio as usual but the forward/back and track info features are still nonfunctional. Anyone else have any luck?
Strangely enough, I've found a way to get the iPod Touch's music controls to work with the Jabra Halo; the catch is that I have a different cell phone and not an iPhone.

If I unfold the Halo, it pairs fine with the Touch but the controls don't work (just like your iP). If I then turn the Bluetooth for my Treo (has stereo BT sound capability), the Treo ALSO pairs with the Halo, and then the music controls work, even if I turn the Treo's BT back off!

In addition, if I'm listening to iPod music and leave the Treo's BT on, when I receive a call, it mutes the iPod music and switches over to phone mode, even though they're different devices. After the call ends, it automatically switches back and unmutes the iPod again.

Now, it's still a backward way of doing things; I've tried everything to get the controls to work without pairing it with the phone (I was searching online when I found this forum). I'm not sure whether the problem is still with the iPod/iPhone software or with the Halo; but it's a step in the right direction and hopefully either Jabra or Apple will fix it (I don't know if you can update the firmware in the Halo with the USB cable -- maybe we'll see.)

Anyways, good luck to both of us.
