Like many, i've been using 4.1 since Saturday. More interested to know when the betas for 4.2 on the ipad start to appear

I just found a very annoying bug in iTunes, I accidentally pressed 'pause' on the update and thought nothing of it so clicked the 'resume' option and it started downloading it again from the beginning!

its downloads it completely then i get "network connect timeout" wtf?

any ideas?

Happened to me during previous updates where it downloaded completely and seemed to time out during the final bit of the download or the start of the install, hard to tell. What I did was just select the download option from the beginning (not the download and install option). It downloaded and just kept it. Then go back in and click and go through the install. see if that works.

And to all the nay-sayers who flamed the folks who installed the GM last week, it appears that there is NO difference in the GM and "official" release. Its fine if you don't feel comfortable downloading an unofficial update, but there's no need for all the bashing that went on here for those who chose to.

that means no update for us that had the GM build...right?

Correct, but if you choose to do a restore - without holding down the shift button (if using Windows)- then it will redownload 4.1 (as it does not find it in the normal place for firmware - unless of course you placed it there yourself). I just did that now as I had a few concerns about my battery life (when compared to 4.0).

Mine was showing 4.02 until I went to Help -> Check for Updates. 4.1 popped up at that time.

still getting the network connect error....

downloaded it completely then last few secs get that...

any ideas?

Awesome!

I've been gritting my teeth, hoping that no one would steal my GameCenter handle like they did with Open Feint.

I mean seriously... TheConfuzed1... How is that not original?

I was a moderator in the Aurora Feint forums (probably still am, but haven't been there in a long time.)

I think someone there stole my handle. I'm glad it didn't happen again.

Now I just need some games! LOL!!!

What is everyones baseband now?

Wandering if anything at all is dif from GM.

GM baseband = 05.14.02
