Ever since 4.0.2, my wifi has been disconnecting a minute after I put it on sleep. Anyone else experiencing this problem or know a solution?

I believe only iPod Touches benefit from Persistent Wifi. Your iPhone is supposed to disconnect from wifi in sleep because it absolutely kills the battery life. The iPhone has 3G so it doesn't need to have wifi on constantly, whereas the iPod Touch will benefit such as receiving skype calls

Well in 4.0.1 my iphone had persistent wifi so I'm not sure if they removed it in later ios's

I think it only persists if it doesn't have a cellular data connection.

That's one time when it'll use Persistent Wi-Fi.

When persistent Wi-Fi should be active:

-When your phone is plugged in to power
-When your phone is using the data connection with the screen off (e.g. Skype or streaming music)
-When there is no cellular signal at all

In addition to that, as iPod touches will always find that last condition fulfilled, they will generally stay connected to Wi-Fi all of the time.
