I can download bootlogos just fine but I cant seem to install the actual boot logo app. It keeps saying there is an error during the installation. Any reason why this is happenning?

for me, the problem was that i had iretiner installed. it has a package called imagemagick that prevents the bootlogo app from installing or replacing it. so if you just delete iretiner and imagemagick then install the bootlogo app you should be good to go, (if thats indeed your issue)
Try manually installing the .deb file.
I had an error when trying to install it so I used this method and it worked.
