Any recommendations yes or no?

I was not happy with 4.3.1 on my iPhone 4. 4.3.2 wasn't much better.

Any idea if the effect is worse on the 3GS?

It's been pretty good for me so far.

Honestly my 3GS has been a lot more stable than it was when 4.0 first came out. I'd say to install it.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8H7 Safari/6533.18.5)

I guess I'm the only one having problems after seeing all the other posts here, but I do feel like my phone has slowed down a bit. It's stable, and I don't have a problem getting things done - they just seem to take a little longer.

How is it for battery life? My upgrade from 4.0.1 to 4.2.1 was not so good for it, so now I'm wondering if I should bother with 4.3.x
Thanks!

you can jailbreak this version with the latest version of redsnow but the process is bit complex.
4.3.2 works great on my 3GS. I haven't tried jailbreaking since 4.3.2, but the redsnow jailbreak that was out when 4.3.1 was available didn't work correctly for me. It worked fine on my other devices though.

4.3.2 works fine on my 3GS. The speed boost in the 4.3 upgrade with the Nitro Javascript engine for Safari was a killer feature, as I spend a lot of time online with my phone. The only upgrade that ever caused problems for me was when I downloaded and installed iOS 4.0. Since then, it's been pretty stable.
