Greetings.

I have a simple question regarding tethered jailbreaks. I just updated all my eligible iOS devices to iOS 4.3.4 fully knowing it would take away my untethered jailbreak. Since Apple patched the untethered exploit, i figured its gone for good and iOS 5's jailbreak will most likely be tethered so i figured i would get used to it starting now.

Whenever i boot without using redsnow (Platinum Apple logo, not Pineapple) it gets stuck on the Apple logo. Obviously since i need to boot tethered. My question is: Does the device charge when its stuck in the Apple logo?

The reason i ask is for the event my iOS device runs out of power while i'm on the road and i would need to revive it back at home. If it doesnt charge while its stuck on the Apple logo... then it would pretty much be dead, right? What do you think? I'm just trying to prepare for the worst. 😛

I think at that point, as long as it is plugged into something it can charge from, it technically should charge, but that is my perspective.

Thank you very much. That's reassuring! 🙂

If anyone else has any other opinions on this, they would be very welcome. 🙂
