Earlier this month, we shared some high-quality photos and a video of what has been claimed to be the rear shell of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 in rough form. uSwitch has now obtained a pair of photos showing the part in its completed state, revealing a polished finish and the removal of several interior physical features that had been part of the manufacturing process.

While the part shows a much cleaner look now that it has been polished and cleaned up, the antenna breaks at the top and bottom, previously reported to be made of a non-conductive polymer, remain quite prominent.

uSwitch primarily focuses on the shell's Apple logo, which as seen in previous leaks will change to an embedded version similar to that found on iPads rather than the printed version used in previous iPhones. The report suggests the embedded logo shown in the photos is indicative of a lighted Apple logo as has been speculated ever since the first leaks showing a cutout for the logo surfaced nearly two months ago.

We do not, however, see any significant evidence that the logo on the iPhone 6 will be lighted. It seems more likely to us that the embedded logo is for aesthetic and/or radio transparency reasons.

Unlike the in-progress shells seen earlier this month, the finished shell also shows the full set of camera holes, including the main one for the camera itself and smaller ones for the flash and rear microphone. Consistent with previous leaks, the flash hole is round, which some have considered suspect as Apple moved to a pill-shaped flash in the iPhone 5s to accommodate the new "True Tone" dual-LED system. It is possible, however, that Apple and its partners have developed a new round version of the True Tone flash.

Definitely the real deal, yet, I cannot wrap my mind around those antenna bars. Since the announcement is so close and since production has begun, those don't seem like place holders anymore. (But I could see the concept of antenna gate being completely obliterated with the all round design)

Just like iPad, Apple logo is embedded for the antenna.

I don't mind the white bands, I mind the two gold stripes they frame

I think it's pretty safe to say this is the design now, I've been dubious about leaks before because "Apple wouldn't do that!" but they seem to make more and more odd design choices since Jony Ive has been given free reign, seems to me he's an "OK" designer but wasn't the real driving force behind the look and feel of the product...

I'm sure the bands will look better on the finished product but they're unnecessarily thick compared to similar on other phones.

I refuse to believe that the iPhone 6 will have those hideous antennas

If this is accurate then this is just ugly with those bands.
Definitely gonna have to put a bag, I mean case over it.

This could easily be the shell from one of the 'replica' iPhone 6 that were on MacRumors last week. Is there any way to confirm it isn't?

I admit, the logo would be a new touch, but if China replica makers can machine such a close replica already, it wouldn't take much additional effort to put the logo piece in.

I honestly can't believe Apple will go to market with the antenna bands looking like that. It looks like a toy and I would definitely stick with my 5s in preference to that.

I'm not convinced this is genuine.

uSwitch are (in the UK at least), a site that's primarily there to help you get a better deal/contract for your <insert product category here>.

It's aim is to help you switch easily from (for example) one broadband provider to another, so I find it hard to believe they've suddenly gained access to a photo of one of the hottest and most shrouded in secrecy tech components around.

The thing about the antenna breaks is not so much their width, but that they seem to be raised compared to the rest of the shell. Not sure if that is an optical illusion, or that material has not been completed in these pictures but it just seems a bit odd.

Wait, your saying you'd stick to 5s just based on the look of the new one? This will not be exactly how it will look, the shape and all is probably spot on but we all know apple makes good looking devices. Id still buy it though its just a look of it, you buy a phone for function not beauty

As with the iPhone 4 leak... people said "Look at those breaks in the steel on the side. That design is un-Apple."

Then Steve explained their existence at the keynote as being a part of the antenna system and blew us away.

I have a feeling the iPhone 6 lines contribute to some functionality that we don't know about yet. Maybe wireless charging...

the bands look like they are serving dual purpose as antenna breaks but also as bumpers for impact. am guessing with the sapphire screen they will market this as a device that needs no case. the bands would be effective in protecting from impact and also from the shell getting scratched by grit.
