Well, I did get anything from 5-7 days out of the android phone, but, you are right 3g data was off, no emails, no web browsing, and I can count on one hand the number of voice calls I made/took in one year.
All I ever did was send the occasional text.

Given this usage pattern, you may wonder why I have a phone at all, which is how I am feeling now, but the iPhone is far more integrated in to my life because of how it works with my iMac, which the android never did.:)

I was shocked at how much brightness plays with battery life. Auto-brightness, for me is the worst. I turned it off and immediately had better life. I then adjusted the brightness from 80% down to about 40% - added two hours of usage!

It took a little getting used to, but I now get about 6-7 hours of usage each day. I use it mainly for internet and messaging (not much voice), so my usage suffers compared to some people.

Auto brightness is the real bugger...... it also had a bug that killed it loading video streams on youtube...... I think thats sorted now however.
