    Hi all

Whenever my 4 month old iMac goes to sleep due to inactivity it loses wifi connectivity when I wake it up again

My wifi connection is visible in the list but it tells me that none of my preferred wireless networks are available

When I try and connect manually I get connection timeout messages

A reboot of the iMac always fixes it but it's real frustrating, my iPad and Macbook pro dont do this!

What do you think? Is it worth taking it along to an apple store or is it likely to be a bug in the software?

The fact that it fails to connect when you try to connect manually pretty heavily implies it's the card. You can verify with a clean OS if you have one available on another hard drive.

try pulling the /library/preferences/system configuration folder to the desktop and rebooting

    try reconnecting after that

Will moving it out cause a new one to be created? Do i need to delete this folder?
