The pass code on my iphone was a 4 digit number.

After creating an exchange account this number changed to a 6 digit number.

Why?

Can I not go back to 4 digits?

Also the max time for passlock is now 1 hour.

I believe it's just due to the security of exchange accounts.

If you delete the exchange account it should go back to 4

Cheers Chris. In that case there is zero chance of getting our IT department to change it!

Interesting. I've been using my Exchange account to connect to our corporate Exchange server (2003 and 2007) for over a year. Never once has my passcode changed from 4 digits to 6 digits.

same here.
i am using an exchange account and still no change from 4to6!!! I WANT 6 digit lol!!!

jailbroken phone?

I'd say 4 digits is enough. The chance of someone successfully cracking your 4-digit passcode is 0.1 percent if they try 10 times. 😀

It's not really interesting. Unless your work at the same company, you will probably have different security policies. This just means your company hasn't got or doesn't know about these polices.

Also, being jailbroken has got nothing to do with it
