There are 4 speaker grills 2 at top and 2 at bottom of iPad Pro 2018 12.9. I noticed one at top and one at bottom is giving sound. Will you please confirm that only 2 is working? Even though 2 are working sound is really loud which is a good thing.

Which iPad are you talking about? 9.7, 10.5, 11, 12.9 (1st and 2nd gen), or 12.9 (2018 version)? I can confirm on my new 12.9 that sound is coming from each of the four speakers when I play music or watch videos.

Is this happening across the board for your or only in certain apps?

sorry forgot to write that iPad Pro 2018 12.9 thanks

Started playing spotify on my iPad Pro 11" in landscape mode, the top speakers (left and right) sounds are louder then the bottom two. If i rotate the screen 180 degrees it will be the same, so its a nice test to check if all 4 speakers are working.

When i play the song in portrait mode if feels all 4 speakers have the same volume.

Thanks that’s really nice testing and observation, In portrait mode top 2 speakers are more louder plus seems like sound is not coming out directly from all 4 speaker grills. And when I cover bottom 2 speakers grills at same time with hands, sound doesn’t get muffled but gets completely muffled when I cover top 2 ones. Will go to apple later to check more on this. Thanks for testing.

That’s how it’s supposed to work.
