Did this feature make it to the final released product?

Is this a good thing or bad thing?

My iPhone 15 pro max gets hot when charging, I think I’m using a 45w or 65w charger that came with my Nintendo switch and steam deck

I'm ready that wired charging speed is unchanged from the 15, which is 20w, and 25w is the highest when using the new MagSafe puck
Wow, that's a bummer - I don't charge with Magsafe magnetic charger.

It's all wired because the wireless charging gets my iPhones hot.

Well at least I can use my 30W MBA charger...

I couldn't find any mention of wired charging wattage on Apple's official specs page.

I guess they were too embarrassed to mention there was no improvement.

I'm still upgrading, though. I figure if I wait one year to update, I won't get the same amount of money for the trade-in of my iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Thanks to all who provided accurate answers to my question.

Current 15 Pro Max wired charging maxes out around 26-28W depending on current percentage and heat for the 30 min or 80% charge reached.
So if the wired charging does not change for the 16 PM, then wired vs wireless seems negligible. (I've never used an iPhone MagSafe charger once since it existed.) But until there are battery backs that support the 25w MagSafe, I don't get the point. You still need a cable and a 30W capable charger or battery pack just like you do with USB-C, but unless its a permanent installation in the car or by the bed, then you have a cable with a huge puck you are carrying around. (Unless Belkin or Apple releases something with 25W...)

Well then I'd be fine with wired charging at just under 30W.

Should be a fast charge compared to the old 10W chargers of yesteryear...

This is from the apple website

Looks like the wired charging max speed is still the same as the 15.
Only difference is now with the new MagSage Charger and 30W adapter the wireless charge is way faster (yey!)

I really hope it's true, fast charging makes life so much easier I will not complain. I'm already happy about the wireless charging but hey, I take the wired charging too! hahaha

It's just puzzling me that they wouldn't even mention it in the documentation, keep telling you that you should use the 20W block for wired charging and the 30W block for wireless... Makes no sense if true

I really hope the 45W charging (or more) for the Pro Max is true. That would make it possibly my favorite reason for upgrading from the 15 PM

There is so much mis-information in this thread its crazy lol.... All iPhone 16 models are capable of 45W wired charging with USB-C.

How strange neither the Apple webpage specs nor the event even mentioned the fast wired charging.

Maybe Apple thinks wireless charging is the most common or they want to sell more charge pucks ???
