MacBook Air - Thinnest Notebook in the World

It's here, it's here! Thought it may have been a let down for a second there. What do we think? The thickest part of the MacBook Air is thinner than the thinnest part of the Sony - now that's nice! 0.16" at it's thinnest :D - The lid fits inside an envelope, muti-touch trackpad as predicted... what more can you say!?

It's AMAZING

But looking at first pictures from macrumourslive.com

It doesn't look that nice as an Apple product should do, however I'll wait for some better pictures to come.

I'm probably wrong!

I saw the TZ on screen and was scared because I thought it was the Apple design. :D

And good lord, the multi touch trackpad came true. Well %$U^% me.

it's priddy though. Is this our 13" MBP? No optical, LED backlit screen (OMG IS IT MATTE???), illuminated keyboard, iSight, 80GB/64GB SSD option, that 1.6-1.8 GHz c2d though... hmm.

What kind of displays can micro-DVI drive?

Let's see what the MBP refreshes (if any) reveal -

Edit: *slow clap* Of course, no other portable annonuncements to take the focus off this thing

After a while I stopped trying to convince myself that this fitted my needs. It doesn't - I needs me an MBP.

I want one. Haven't even seen specs, already got a great laptop, don't need one. But I WANT one.

Initial Specs

Competitive baseline was the Sony TZ series.

.16" to .76" thickness. You could mail it in a large envelope.

13.3" widescreen display with LED backlight. Magnetic latch. iSight included.

Macbook-style keyboard with ambient light sensor (if this is what I have seen on Panasonic Toughbooks - it is slick).

Multi-touch trackpad.

80Gb 1.8" HDD or 64GB SSD.

1.6GHz or 1.8GHz Core 2 Duo.
