screen looks goofy with the wide rim. battery life is unimpressive to say the least. just doesnt seem worth the price tag. ill happily still love my Macbook.

Sony SZ and TZ models push into $2000 and even $3000. And the TZ's use slower CPUs, smaller screens, and they're still thicker and heavier then the MacBook Air.

Micro DVI

WTF are the thinking ... and also what is the video card in this thing .. this is looking like a forced product to me .. Apple may have just dropped a Cube2

I like the ability to borrow the optical drive from your other mac or pc. I hope they make that a standard software across the board

Colour me underwhelmed.

But then again, I have never seen the point of paying (what is likely to be) a huge premium for a vastly inferior machine technology-wise. And by the looks of it, one that's going to be so utterly breakable and snapable that you'll pay a fortune on repairs. At 6'2" and 220 pounds my 17" MBP is almost entirely useless without an external keyboard/mouse. I can imagine trying to do anything useful on this machine. Makes a nice portable DVD player though... oh wait... not unless you buy an external Superdrive that takes up the only USB port and costs an extra $100.

The MacBook Air sounds nice... but the reality of the situation leaves quite a bit to be desired.

ssd cant save that processor.where in the **** are the new displays?

got dammit apple

update what matters not what you want.

Apple does not know what the diffrence between priority and want is.

Boooooooooooooooooo

It's their foot in the door of the market. I'd like to see where this product's at in a year (probably when I'll be buying)

Hey guys,

Were can I watch MacWorld 2008 live? Is there any internet sites?

It's beyond me why you'd want to watch a balding ego maniac walk around in a turtle neck telling everyone how much better his company is than the competition

Interesting! I can't afford it, but I could definitely find some uses for it.

Anyone lol

Well, the keynote's almost over anyway... you might as well just wait and see it tonight on streaming QuickTime.

OK, so I probably won't pay the Early Adopter Tax for this one. But I'd love to see what people think of this machine. And even if I never end up buying one (and so far, this seems unlikely) I *am* very excited about what this may mean for the future of their traditional MacBook or MacBook Pro lines. I suspect some of the features will start rubbing off on them within the next few refreshes.

Speaking of which, we're still waiting for the "one more thing"... c'mon Apple!
