I am 1 week in with my 38 mm SS BSB Apple Watch and I'm loving it. I was converted from waiting for the 42mm SGS that I ordered on May 5 with a ship date of July. When I found this thread I was only slightly tempted to order the 38mm, but was worried about the size. Several days passed and I popped back into this thread which finally convinced me to order one when I saw they were shipping roughly same week as ordering. I ordered on a Friday and got it that Tuesday.

For anyone worried about ditching your eternal 42mm SGS order and being disappointed with the screen size, I can say that from my experience the 38mm has been more than enough screen real estate. My wrists are at 180mm and I had to switch the larger strap.

It is true that the 38mm looks slightly smaller in person than in pictures. When I got it the first day I was genuinely skeptical of the small size. After day 2 I was sold. A week in, I'm really enjoying and loving my apple watch. I do not think it is worth waiting 1-2 months for the larger size, though everyone's preferences are different.

Come over to the "dark side". We have watches!

Ladies and gents, buckle up as we are heading into the infamous 4 oclock eastern time hour... Traditionally, a lot of shipping has occured between 4 and 5

Just received my shipment notification email. Ordered 4/27. Expected arrival 5/20. ##

Nice! I'm a 4/27 order too but haven't seen any movement. I ordered ~7pm EST though. Do you remember generally what time you bought yours? Are they sending it overnight shipping?

I ordered at 7:19 AM PST. As for the shipping speed Id say 2-day since it is coming on Wednesday.

EDIT: Now that it appears on UPS it actually says Next Day Air. So perhaps it could get here tomorrow maybe??

Nothing has changed for me so far...ordered April 28.

So, we seem to be up to 4/27 in US and 4/29 in Canada. My gut tells me we won't see anymore movement until next week, similar to what happened last week.

even though this is a US-thread, the dates mentioned by you pretty much match the status quo in Europe: My impression is that Europe is also up to 4/29, while my order date is 5/1. There's hope for us ;)

ordered on 30th April still showing june 22nd-29th delivery date and processing items. Anybody any idea when i will see movement. Located in Ohio

Looks like Apple's planning on selling Watch in stores starting June 1st. Explains why orders were shipping steady all the way up until April 27th, the day I ordered:

Two things: first, where did it say the 1st? All I saw on a quick glance was the mention of June.
Second, perhaps this is a good sign that the majority of us late April orders will see rapid movement in the next 10 days... otherwise I, too, will be canceling my online order and getting a watch in-store.

Like most things regarding this launch, I'll believe it when I see it. Tim stood up on stage and said the watches would be available on April 24th. That didn't happen, so just because he said they'll be in stores in June doesn't mean it'll happen either. Having said that I'm sure that they're trying to meet a June date because it seems like the shipment of pre-orders has slowed down mightily.

And of course there will probably be fine print in the store availability announcement that reads while supplies last.
