Hi everyone,

I come from small country, which didn't have iPhone until last month. I am a big apple fan, and i'm using iPhone since 1st generation, and I never had a problem with it until now. Now, my warranty expired like a month ago and problems started.
Apple authorized service provider in our country wants me to pay 420 $ for repair (replacement), even though that iPhone is not water damaged, or anyway damaged by my fault. I mean that is just insane.
What should I do?
I dont have that money :/, and I think that apple won't be in trouble if they just make an exception for a loyal apple customer.

It's hard to get a courtesy one time replacement for free if you aren't at an Apple Store. I'd suggest going to another country that has Apple Stores and see what your options are. Though, I should say, that doesn't gurantee a replace, emt

Well I would but nearest apple store from here is 460 km (300 miles) :)

what about apple customer service? call them up and explain that way.

im not sure what their policy is about returning a phone though.

I wouldnt dare to do it myself, I don't want to break anything :) I did call apple uk and they said that they aren't able to make an exception or something under any circumstance.
