So I finally went to the Apple Store to try on the apple watch...

I was really surprised by a few things:

1. Both models are tiny compared to most of the watches I own.
2. The ss model is very light. I brought my tissot t touch titanium watch along (my smallest and lightest) and the apple watch watch was both lighter and smaller in all respects.
3. The link bracelet is the only even slightly masculine band.

The apple watch in both sizes is obviously geared towards elves and the like.

I left feeling conflicted by my desire to have the newest apple product and my desire to wear a watch made for larger people...

Admittedly the insane 1300$ Canadian price for the only model I actually liked is also making me think twice...

You state negative comments. You state it's geared towards elves. Why are you conflicted. Get a moto 360

Perhaps you should get the Will.iam's bracelet.
It will look good together with Nixon and diesel watches on your other wrist.

I don't own either of those... I have a Couple tissots, a few citizens, a Mont Blanc timewalker, Rolex gmt ii, and a Raymond Weil don Giovanni...

I'm not a watch snob by any means, and I really want to like the apple watch I was just underwhelmed by its small size.

I'd suggest trying to wear it with the face on top of your wrist rather that on the side.

Any watch will seem tight when twisted to one side.

That's the side of my arm.. It's a funny shot.

So umm..Exactly what is the point of your thread ?

I thought the same thing that they were both smaller than I expected, not necessarily too small. I have a 42mm on order and I am sure it will be just fine. My wrists are about 195mm.

I know someone with exactly the same thoughts that you have. He got the watch. He hated it. He hated the appearance and the functionality. He returned it.

While I love my watch, the Apple watch is most definitely NOT for you. Don't waste your time. Don't even think about getting it. Listen to me. You'll thank me.

I have to completely disagree with your third point. There is nothing emasculating about the Milanese loop or Leather loop.

By the way I'm 6'1", and although I put on a couple this winter, I'm no Hagrid! I can't believe that so few people share my oppinion on the size issue...

Perhaps "dainty" is a better description of the other bands...

I have stated from the beginning and still believe to this day that Apple specifically went out of their way to make the Apple Watch as a fashion accessory for women and fashonista. I'm 6'1" tall and weigh 215 pounds and the Apple Watch looks tiny on me. The Moto 360 I own looks 'normal'.

Please show me your GMT2.

Because I have one, and it is 40mm in diameter.
It is NOT larger than the Apple Watch.

No. That is not a better description. IMO there is nothing wrong with any of the bands except for the classic buckle. That is the only one a guy wouldn't wear and most guys aren't wearing a 38mm watch so it's not even a problem.

If anything the link bracelet is boring and too generic while the others, especially the leather loop is unique.
